Where
is it?
Fratelli Camisa is an
Italian Delicatessen that can be found at 61 Old Compton Street, London W1D 6. It is
soho institution dating back to 1929!
While it is only a small shop
you will often see a queue of people into the street!
What do they sell?
So much more than you would
expect from such a small shop! They have an excellent selection of:
- Fresh pasta (including gnocchi and a great
selection of ravioli)
- Fresh
Italian sausages
- Italian
Wines
- A
great selection of dried De Cecco pasta, risottos, lentils
- Salamis,
hams, prosciuto, cold meats
- Italian
breads (ciabatta & focaccia)
- Antipasti
& cheeses (olives, mozzarella, gorgonzola, dolcelatte)
- Pasta
sauces (arrabiata, bolognese, funghi porcini)
Most of their products are honestly priced and the staff are
extremely friendly. You really have to go here if you love your Italian
food!
When do they open? When should
I go?
They are open Monday -
Saturday but closed all day Sunday.
What if I don't live in London?
Do they deliver?
No problem! You can also visit them online at:
http://www.camisa.co.uk/
Delivery
is free for orders over £100, otherwise £8 unless you want delivery to
Highlands of Scotland or Ireland (Northern Ireland or Republic).
What is their speciality?
For me, it has to
be their homemade fresh pasta - so much choice and as good as you will
get in Italy!
